27 Weeks & how was it any different?

I am so close to that third trimester I can feel it (literally, I’m starting to feel very uncomfortable).

*Andrew has been trying to find the baby’s heartbeat with the stethoscope but we haven’t had any luck with that yet.

*This is kind of ridiculous but during my first trimester I couldn’t stop thinking about this mango salad and this particular dressing from Costa Vida.  Because of Corona, the restaurant stopped offering it because they simplified their menu for takeout for a while.  20 weeks later and it is finally back (after I called and asked each week when it would be back ha) and my pregnancy taste buds could not be happier about it.   It tasted so so good.

*Whenever I am pregnant I get these mini brown dots all over my stomach and chest… My obgyn says it is due to an increase in melanin and it always disappears soon after I deliver.  Anybody else experience something similar to that?

*My friend posted this and it kind of freaked me out ha.  This is going to be interesting.

*The last week or so I keep finding myself waking up on my back!  I go to sleep laying on my left side and then wake up on my back so I need to create some way to prevent that from happening.

*32.69 miles of running last week!  The mileage is dropping but it still is there which is making me very happy.

*I do not hate sweets right now but they just don’t taste the same as they do when I’m not pregnant.  I have already planned my first meal after I have this baby because I remember the first thing I ate after having Skye tasted like heaven and I can’t wait.

*The baby is about 14.5 inches long right now and two lbs!

When I first got pregnant I definitely did not expect the world to be the way it is right now.   I did not guess that we would be partially homeschooling, wearing masks everywhere that we went and staying at least 6 ft apart from others (although that part is nice in a way because nobody asks to touch my belly).  This baby will be here in around 13ish weeks and I’m not sure that things will be any different than they are right now.  As of right now, my doctor said that we will be wearing masks in the hospital room when others are present, tested for Covid when we first arrive to the hospital and that there won’t be any visitors allowed  My oldest niece is bummed about the last one because she really wanted to be there for the birth because she wants to be an OBGYN.

It is going to be quite a different experience than what happened with the girls’ deliveries but I am SO thankful that as of right now, Andrew will definitely be able to be there.

Has anyone delivered during this time of Covid-19?   How were things different at the hospital or wherever you delivered?  Tell me your experience.

Those of you that have had kids before this year—> Was there anything that was different during your delivery that you definitely did not expect going into it?

Those of you that have been pregnant, do you have any changes with your skin/hair color/anything random like that?!
