BOB ANDERSON BRINGS MUSIC AND IMPERSONATIONS TO SOUTH POINT: “People” magazine once called Bob Anderson the very best singing impressionist in the world. Anderson will be back in Las Vegas for three nights performing “Music to Remember” at the showroom at South Point Aug. 13-15 at 7:30 p.m. Anderson’s story reads like a novel. Anderson was at the right place at the right time when Nancy Sinatra’s opening act at the Sahara got into a disagreement and quit on show day. He did a quick audition and within seven hours was her opening act. Later, Anderson was invited to a party at Merv Griffin’s home where he was discovered doing impressions of the great singers of that time. Griffin booked him on his television show and introduced him as “The Singing Impressionist.” Soon thereafter, Anderson became a regular on every talk and variety show making more than 200 national and international television appearances. He appeared on the “Tonight Show” starring Johnny Carson twice in one week. With all the television exposure, Anderson was given his own room at The Top of the Dunes Hotel where his show ran for 10 years. Right from opening night, Anderson was the talk of Las Vegas.
