If you have the goal to become organized, you may be wondering what you can do to get started. Why not start out with some organization hacks? Whether you repurpose an over-the-door shoe organizer or make a lazy Susan for your cabinets, you can organize your home easily.
Use Over-the-Door Shoe Organizers for More Than Shoes
Over-the-door shoe organizers have so many uses and can be used throughout your home. You can place one in your hall closet to organize all your winter accessories. You can add one to your pantry door to organize small items, such as seasoning packets and fruit snacks. You can even add one to your child's bedroom door to organize small toys. In fact, if you have a clear one, these are perfect for organizing Lego bricks.
Organize Drawers with Dollar Tree Bins
A great way to keep the drawers of your home organized is to pick up some inexpensive organizers from the Dollar Tree. For example, if your family eats a lot of candy or granola bars, use one drawer in your kitchen to keep all the bars organized by type. These are also great for organizing your junk drawer.
Add Bins to the Fridge to Corral Like Items
You can also find bins at the Dollar Tree that are perfect for organizing your refrigerator. For example, you can put all the sandwich ingredients in one bin and all the salad dressings in another. You can also use a bin for your child's snacks or drinks.
Turn an Old Tissue Box Into a Plastic Bag Dispenser
Do you like to reuse plastic grocery bags? Take an empty tissue box and stick the bottom of the bag into the tissue box. Run another bag through the loops of the first bags and stuff it in the box. Continue this until the box is full of bags, leaving the handles of the last bag hanging out. If you want, you can use some decorative duct tape to make the box look better.
Make a Lazy Susan for Your Cabinets
Last, but not least, if you want to be able to easily access the things in your cabinets and pantry, make a lazy Susan. All you need are two round cake pans and a bag of marbles from the Dollar Tree. Pour the bag of marbles into one of the pans and then place the second pan on top. Place in your cabinet or pantry and fill with round items (more round items will fit in there than square). You'll no longer have to dig into the back of the cabinet for what you need.
These organization tips will make organizing your home much easier. Whether you create an organization box for your plastic bags or add bins to your fridge, you will love these organization hacks.
